Junk art and trash art are interchangeable terms. This is a sub-genre of found art, where a piece of art is created from pieces that have antecedently been discarded as trash or junk. As I look around my city garden I am transported to another(a) world. It is my urban oasis . Small but luscious. Very green. And scattered all around are my favorite pieces of metal garden art.

Recycled Plastic Bags

Recycling plastic bags is probably one of the easiest ways we can help our environment stay clean. In my sources of inspiration post I touched on the subject of found object art. Or a more modern description is recycled metal art. Aside from the nearly infinite originative possibilities, there are benefits to the environment as well. The most obvious is saving metal from filling landfills.

One such artist posted a blog about it. The artist is Lynn Hasselberger. Might I say she really does good work with washers and motorcycle chains. Reading her bio about how she was divine by her dumpster diving mom and her workaholic father was interesting to say the Read the rest of this entry »
